Green Door and Red Rooster- THE REAL DEAL

So what are the Green Door and Red Rooster REALLY like?

Lots of people have heard of these places, especially The Green Door is pretty well-known.
So I have been to both- Red Rooster 3 times and Green Door 2 times.

If you are looking to doing wild, adult things in Vegas, and who isn't these days, you and your partner, or maybe just you, might have been thinking about checking out one of these places. Well here is the scoop.

Green Door
Located on Sahara Blvd below the Strip. About 15 minutes away from The Sahara.
953 E. Sahara Ave. Suite B28 702-732-4656

Open Sunday - Thursday, 1 p.m. - 5 a.m., Friday - Saturday, 1 p.m. - 7 a.m.
VIP room and Dungeon open at 9 p.m. nightly. Free tours daily, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
One-day "Teazer" pass is $50 for couples and $60 for single men. Weekly "Players Card" is $52 for couples and $107 for single men. Monthly "Lifestyles Card" is $60 for couples and $202 for single men.
Access to the VIP area is included in all couple admissions, $40 for single men on Friday and Saturday, and $20 for single men on Sunday and Thursday. General admission for single women is always free. VIP area access for single women is $10 per day, $40 per week, or $50 per month. Military and local discounts are available.

It has been around since the 80's by the looks of it. Very cheesy, bad decor with fake plants, 2 levels and different rooms. Not classy at all. If you are a couple and have never ventured into swinging... well you can check this place out... but it might scare you away from it for a long time if not altogether.

Downstairs there are single guys... upstairs... couples only. Lots of wasted space and empty rooms. And it's pricey. They don't let you check it out first.

Lots of couples just sitting around looking nervous for a while until some people start to find their rooms and do things. If you are an exhibitionist, there are rooms where you can perform and a bunch of people will watch and gawk at you. Pretty much anything goes between consenting adults.

Its just cheesy and creepy. I would prefer going to a party at a hotel or a mansion or someone's house. Check it out at your own risk.

Red Rooster, 5010 Steptoe St., (702) 451-6661.

Open Monday - Thursday, 9 p.m. - 2 a.m., Friday - Saturday, 8 p.m. - 3 a.m. and Sunday, 6 p.m. - 11 p.m.; times vary for special events; call for details.
Nobody admitted after 11 p.m.
Admission Monday - Saturday is $30 for couples and $20 for single women.
Admission for single men is $40 Monday - Thursday and $50 Friday - Saturday. Admission Sunday is $20 for couples, $10 for single women and $30 for single men. Active military men pay $30 Saturday and $20 Sunday. This ranch-style house gives the feel of walking into someone's expansive basement. There's plenty of room: a huge main room, including bar, stage for the regular band and lots of tables. And right off from the main room is the swimming pool and hot tub area. Upstairs, though, lies the real attractions -- the private bedrooms and couples' rooms.

It actually is a converted house. Poor parking and sort of out of the way for tourists. Its all BYOB. They don't serve alcohol. You bring your drinks and can check them in at the bar. Lots of older people that look like they just stepped out of Walmart.  Bleck.  Upstairs is couples only. Last time I was there, they made you wear a towel to go upstairs so we didn't go.

Its just scummy and gross. I would suggest to go to a party instead. Really.

Check out my next post for GOOD places to go if you want to get wild.

List of Bars and Clubs In Vegas

List of Bars and Clubs in Vegas By Vegas Chick

Beginning of the descriptions are from Vegas Weekly, I have added my comments with the REAL scoop.

8 1/2 Ultra Lounge and Piranha Nightclub
Fruit Loop Area - Paradise Blvd Near Hard Rock
A two-story nightclub with private rooms upstairs, Piranha describes itself as Las Vegas best gay nightclub and celebrity hideout and has been visited by the likes of Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. While Piranha Nightclub is a hot spot for house music, 8 1/2 Ultra Lounge provides hip-hop and Top 40.
REAL DEAL-  Piranha is cool for a gay bar- kinda small. Has a real piranha tank inside. Drag shows and lots of hot guys. But if you want a better gay club experience... go to Krave. You can start at Piranha and then go across the street to Double Down or Freezone.

Artisan Lounge
Sahara and 15 Fwy near Palace Station in the Artisan Hotel
Dark shades of exotic paintings and sculptures placed against the warm, ambient lighting of Artisan Lounge make it a perfect spot for an intimate gathering. But with a daily happy hour from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. that features 2 for 1 house wines, well drinks and domestic beers, Artisan Lounge seconds as a great local watering hole as well.
REAL DEAL- Artisan is very cool and chill. Wish it was bigger. Gets crowded on the weekends and not enough places to sit. The mirrors and paintings are cool and they have a pretty good DJ. Good place to go to hang out with locals.

Bank At Bellagio
The Bank is the perfect place to act out your fantasy of being a multi-billionaire mogul or sugar daddy’s precious little arm candy.
THE REAL DEAL- Way too small. It blows. Used to be Light... that was so-so. They should have made it bigger. Dance floor is too small. Eh... I never go there. Skip it.

BB King’s Blues Club
Inside the Mirage
B.B. King’s Blues Club brings an all-in-one experience, offering music seven nights a week from funky and fast to soulful and smooth. The house band, B.B. King’s All-Star Band, surpasses the standard of what many know to be a house band and friends of the King are likely to stop by at any time to join them and jam.
REAL DEAL- Fun place to go to see bands and eat some yummy food. Have events sometimes. Across from Revolution Lounge. Just opened end of Spring 2010.

Beatles Revolution Lounge
Inside the Mirage near BB Kings
Bringing the lyrics and the age of the Fab Four to life, Revolution offers guests a groovy boutique nightclub experience. Interactive VIP tables transmit guests' drawings around the fanciful, mod-style venue.
REAL DEAL- there are 2 rooms. Front small lounge area and the back lounge where you can dance. Wish it were bigger. Gets quite crowded. The decor is very cool . Good place to chill before or after you go to dinner at Japonais or club it up at Jet.

Beauty Bar
Downtown Las Vegas Blvd and Fremont St. Next to The Griffin
A facsimile of the salon where Grandma used to get her blue hair rinse. Cocktails have names like the Platinum Blonde and the Prell. Vegas' installment of the kitschy-but-cool beauty salon-themed bar offers a concrete patio and outdoor stage for live performances.
REAL DEAL- Its cool but very small. Sometimes they have good bands. Good to start there and then go to Griffin and/or Downtown Coctail Lounge. Griffin is way better. Locals bar.

Blue Martini Lounge
Town Square LV Blvd South Strip after Mandalay Bay
Blue Martini offers valet, bottle service and tapas, and requires fashionable attire and a cover (free for ladies, $10 for locals, $20 for out-of-state). You can book one of the two VIP rooms or three cabanas. Blue Martini offers the cheapest Grey Goose in Vegas.
REAL DEAL-  Locals bar mostly. Go there WAY too much. Used to be a bit more popular now its kind of hit and miss. They have bands most nights, wish they wouldn't, and also a DJ. Pretty spacious and you can go outside to sit or inside. Lots of free drink deals for the ladies. Its a fun place and Town Square has a lots to see and do. You can bar hop from BM to Cadillac R to Yard House to Lolitas, etc.

Blush Boutique Nightclub
Inside The Wynn
Blush, combines a fusion of nightlife and luxurious cocktails to appease to any tastebud.
REAL DEAL- Small lounge. Wynn kinda blows. Don't go there much. But if you are staying at the Wynn and want a quick drink you can start at Blush and go somewhere else like XS or Surrender if you want to stay in Encore/Wynn.

Bunkhouse Saloon
Downtown
A down-home, Downtown dive bar, the small-but-mighty Bunkhouse sports a wide selection of liquors and delicious (even for bar standards!) food. The impressive in-house sound system often blares with the sounds of Vegas' and the country's finest alt, rock, punk bands.
REAL DEAL- It's more a place to see bands than just a bar. Kind of small but they have some cool bands sometimes. DO NOT WALK from Fremont to Bunkhouse. I suggest you drive or walk in a big group if you must. The area is pretty sketchy.

Cabo Wabo Cantina
The Strip Across from City Center
Sammy Hagar's hard rockin’ dining and nightlife experience on the Las Vegas Strip. The two-level, 15,000-square-foot Cantina brings the best of Cabo San Lucas to Vegas, with its prime location at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Cabo Wabo combines Hagar’s signature blend of killer margaritas, flavorful Mexican food and rock.
REAL DEAL- Its more of a restaurant than a bar bar. Gets pretty crowded. You can sit outside. It's okay... would go to Diablo instead at Monte Carlo if you want a good mexican restaurant and a cool bar.

Cadillac Ranch
Town Square
Cadillac Ranch all-American bar and grill is nestled in Town Square’s new meet market—happily situated next to Blue Martini and above the Yard House. When you’re tired of spending half an hour trying to get the attention of a bartender, Cadillac Ranch’s 12,000 square feet and three bars provide ample space for $3 domestic beers, well drinks and wine.
REAL DEAL- Starts as a restaurant then turns into a bar with dancing after 10:30 ish.  Kinda fun. Can ride the mechanical bull, when its working, and dance and drink. Good place to go before or after Blue Mart or Yard House.

Caramel
Inside Bellagio
In delicious shades of chocolate and--surprise!--caramel, Light Group's elegant lounge just begs for a long visit with good friends, a fine cigar, and an extravagant martini or glass of champagne. Seating options include posh leather couches, two communal ottomans and a marble central island.
REAL DEAL- You can sit and chill a bit in the swanky decor. Its a place to start before you go somewhere else. The club at Bellagio, The Bank, sucks so I suggest going to another casino. Bellagio has great restaurants and is one of the classiest and most beautiful casinos but the nightlife there... eh.

Cathouse
Inside Luxor near Liquidity
Decorated to look like a 19th century French bordello, the Luxor’s new “loungerie” combines all the best features of a lounge and a burlesque show. The Cathouse Coquettes dance tantalizingly in lacy lingerie, while guests are welcome to watch and whip out their camera phone, or to dance right along with them.
REAL DEAL- Cathouse is kinda fun sometimes. The decor is really cool. Wish the dance floor was a bit bigger. More fun if you have a table.

Center Bar at Hard Rock
Located literally in the center of all the gambling and gaming of Hard Rock, Center Bar offers a panoramic view of the casino floor complete with a full bar and video gaming. Enjoy two for one call drinks and two dollar domestic beers during Center Bar's happy hour from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Monday through Friday.
REAL DEAL- If you go to the Hard Rock, chances are you will either start out at the Center Bar or end up there. Its very small with very few seats. Get there early if you want to sit. Basically you stand around and people watch and people walk in circles like sharks. The drinks are cheaper there than the clubs but you get the old school juice glasses the casino bars usually use.

Christian Audigier The Nightclub
Inside TI
Christian Audigier The Nightclub brings the fashionable side of nightlife to Las Vegas. Occupying the space of former Treasure Island hotspot Tangerine, Christian Audigier is an indoor/outdoor club that boasts a wrap around porch with a coveted view of the Strip. Outside, patrons sip drinks like the signature vodka lemonade while taking in the sights of the sexy Sirens of TI.
REAL DEAL- Eh. Its kinda small. They remodeled (a tiny bit) what used to be Tangerine into a club that no one can pronounce the name. C Audigier is the Ed Hardy designer and so egotistical he had to name the club after himself. Suprised TI went for that. The only good point is you can stand outside (sit if you have a table) and watch the lame-ass, cheesy Sirens show. Its fun sometimes and there are some cute people to watch.

Cleopatra's Barge
Inside Caeser's Palace
Cleopatra's Barge is a replica of the craft that transported the royalty of Egypt on the Nile River. This floating lounge turns into a nightclub nightly at 9:30 p.m. and showcases live music, DJs and features a dance floor that literally rocks.
REAL DEAL- It's kitchy and cheesy but kinda fun. Get a drink then head somewhere else. Just NOT Poetry and definitely NOT Pure unless you have a table.

Coyote Ugly
Inside NY NY- 2nd Floor
The Strip's wildest watering hole offers a raucous party seven days a week. The Coyote Ugly bartenders do it all: bar-top dancing, tough-talking and spraying down the crowd (and each other!) with water.
REAL DEAL- Too small. Sort of fun. Only girls can dance on the stage. Good to go if you're drunk after or before Nine Fine Irishmen.

Crown Nightclub
Inside the RIO
The Strip Features 50 ft. stage and state of art sound and lighting. Bands and dancing. Different events.
REAL DEAL- Have not been yet. Brand new. Will write more later.

Dive Bar
3035 East Tropicana Avenue
REAL DEAL- Cool bands every nite, food, good atmosphere and a place to cool your jets. Most bands are alt, punk, rock. Great place to chill with the locals off strip.

Double Down Saloon
Paradise Rd across from Freezone in the Fruit Loop
Las Vegas Vegas' longest-lasting punk rock bar is dirty as hell, but that's part of its charm. Check out the specialty drinks, including the world-famous Ass Juice or the heart-stopping Bacon Martini. It's a place with few rules, but don't puke because if you do, you clean it up. All in all, one of the best places in town to catch a punk band.
REAL DEAL- Good place to go after Hard Rock for some real music or if you are in the Fruit Loop. Wish it were bigger. Too small and not too many places to sit. One of the few places you can see a punk band and still mosh. Its fun and a classic.

Double Helix Bar
Located in the center of the The Shoppes at the Palazzo, Double Helix has a circular bar offering more than 50 wines by the glass. There is also a boutique shop stocked with 300 rare vintages, a VIP room with premium wines maintained at an ideal temperature and a select menu from Emeril Lagasse, which includes an Artisan Cheese Board.
REAL DEAL- Never been. Where is it? Well I guess if you're at the Palazzo, check it out.  I like the name.

Downtown Cocktail Room
Downtown LV Blvd and Fremont Street
Like a little bit of Manhattan in Vegas, this underground, bohemian-chic lounge and speakeasy is perfect for a date, casual conversation, or a sexy night out with friends. DJs spin groovy world vibe. Don't be disappointed by the lack of tourists--this place is for the locals.
REAL DEAL- Griffin is better but kinda cool and chill if you are downtown. The decor is cool and they have a trick door. Its fun to watch people try to figure out how to get inside.

Drai's Afterhours
Inside Bill's Saloon (Formerly Barbary Coast)
Drai's is one of Las Vegas' hottest nightclubs, with a full selection of fine wines, champagnes and cigars for your after-hours enjoyment accompanied by music and a resident DJ. Come see what Drai's nightlife has to offer. Open Thursday through Sunday, 1 a.m....12 pm.
REAL DEAL- For a town where the bars are open 24 hrs and most clubs go until about 3- 4 am or so... if you really need an afterhours place and literally want to party all night, this is the place to go. Its a little cheesy and the hotel where it is is old and run down but.. the only after hours club in Vegas on the Strip. Its a classic and has been around forever.

Drop Bar
Inside Green Valley Ranch, Henderson
Henderson Hip has never been so comfortable. Get into a refreshingly new approach to casino bars at the drop bar featuring cool libations and an eclectic music mix.
REAL DEAL- If you happen to be at GVR then its a cool little circle bar. I would go to Quinn's, the Irish pub across from it instead. Quinn's used to be Fado which moved to Eastern Ave in Henderson.

Eve
CityCenter in the Mall
Eva Longoria Parker's highly anticipated 8,000-square-foot nightclub, Eve, envelopes guests in a luxurious atmosphere wrapped in black and sparkling gold. Lavish VIP booths, floor-to-ceiling mirrored windows and the 50-foot-tall arched ceiling accentuate the glamorous interior. One-of-a kind colossal video screens surrounding the dance floor are a striking, state-of-the art feature unique to Eve .
REAL DEAL- Haven't been yet. Kind of don't want to go. I hear its cool but crowded and not very big.

eyecandy sound lounge and bar
Inside Mandalay Bay
So much more than a center bar--despite its central location--Eyecandy is a bright, wide-open, smoke-free lounge with private VIP booths, banquette and bar seating, a unique interactive dance floor and even iPod docking-station VIP booths.
REAL DEAL -AND ITS FREE. One of the few center bars where you can dance. Good place to start the night then go to Mix or Foundation Room.

Foundation Room
Mandalay Bay
Accessible only by private elevator, the Foundation Room sits atop the Mandalay Bay on the 43rd floor and is a members-only club every day except Mondays, sometimes Sundays. Godspeed Mondays welcomes Las Vegas locals and visitors to a night hosted by DJs Guy Williams and L-1 who spin a collection of Top 40, ‘80s, ‘90s and trance.
REAL DEAL- They have certain nights you can get in if you aren't a member. Several rooms and you can rent rooms for parties. Cool balcony. Fun. The decor is funky.

Ghostbar
Inside The Palms
55 floors above Las Vegas, this indoor/outdoor meeting place is where guests and visitors can watch celebrities (most of the time) and unbelievable panoramic views (all of the time).
REAL DEAL- You can stand outside on the balcony with famous plexiglass floor.  (Or sit if you get a table).
Voodoo Lounge is better if you want an outside lounge. Much bigger and less pretentious.

Gold Diggers
Inside Golden Nugget Fremont St. Downtown
Gold Diggers plays your favorite hits from the 70s and 80s in the heart of downtown Las Vegas.
REAL DEAL- It's cheesy and a dump. There is a security guy when you walk inside who carries a gun... just in case. Great for people watching and you can sit outside and watch the people on Fremont St. down below. The only club on Fremont St. Good if you are drunk. Good for a laugh.

Gold Lounge
Inside Aria City Center
Cirque du Soleil’s newest and most decadent nightlife creation inspired by Elvis Presley's Graceland. Layered with bold black and gold throughout, it caters to a hip, energetic crowd each night of the week.
REAL DEAL- Haven't been yet. Will maybe go someday. Sounds kinda cool.

Green Door
Sahara Blvd south of the Strip in a mini mall
I had to include this since it is famous....
Creatively termed an “adult health spa,” The Green Door is the largest sex club in America, offering 18,000 square feet for adults to play in. Keeping with the health spa theme, the club charges weekly, monthly or yearly membership fees rather than a cover charge and considers its guests members rather than customers. REAL DEAL- This place is a DUMP and creepy. Separate article to be added soon. If you want to "swing" or get wild... go to a party... skip this place. ICK ICK.

Hard Rock Pool
Hard Rock- Mostly for Rehab on Sundays
Once you get in you’ll be greeted by a party wilder than the Cancun coast during spring break. Selected by the Travel Channel as one of the top ten pools in the world, the Hard Rock pool has all the prerequisites of a little slice of paradise: water, sand, palm trees, a waterslide, swim-up blackjack, cocktails, fully-equipped cabanas.
REAL DEAL- They hire strippers and models to hang out there. Place to be seen on Sundays to get some sun and nurse your hang-over.  Your bod should be buff or bikini-ready to hang with the sun-worshippers and partiers here.

Hennessey's Tavern
Downtown Fremont St and LV Blvd on the Corner
Across the street from Downtown Cocktail Lounge
Offers authentic Irish fare along with a full bar, gaming and live music every week by Finnegan's Wake and Old Castle Knights. Its a place to start then go somewhere else.

Hogs and Heifers
Downtown
Like the original in NYC's Meatpacking District, H&H is best known for its no-frills bar and the attitudes of its bawdy, beautiful bar staff. Opt for beer and shots (no froufrou cocktails here!) and enjoy a jukebox of loud, classic American music.
REAL DEAL- Very small and divey. Coyote Ugly at NY NY is better.

Hostile Grape
Inside M Resort, Henderson
Choose from 120 wines by the glass in this contemporary cellar. The collection includes fine American, Italian and French wines as well as selections from Spain, South Africa, Germany and more. With a different theme every night, Tuesday through Friday, guests will find food, drink and entertainment specials with happy hour running from 6-8 p.m.
REAL DEAL- Inside is purple-ish and cool. Great place for wine and apps. Wine by the glass. Costs $25 to taste lots of wines. Self serve and then main bar. Very cool and chill. Locals place.

House of Blues
Inside Mandalay Bay
One of the best places to see a concert. The restaurant is so-so. But if you eat there first before you see a show you get in earlier inside the concert area.
Whether you snag stage-front standing room or opt for a balcony seat, concerts here offer great acoustics and a laid back vibe that will easily make you a regular.

Jet
Inside the Mirage
Jet, the self-proclaimed ultimate nightclub experience, is a music junkie’s dream-come-true, featuring multiple levels and three different rooms, each with a distinctive variety of music. The sunken dance floor and various stages where patrons can join sexy dancers make Jet the prime place to show off your stuff or sit back and people-watch.

Krave
On the Strip Next to Planet Hollywood on Harmon across Harley Davidson Cafe
The first and only alternative club on the strip.
REAL DEAL- Small lounge is Girl Bar, main room is for guys and girls.
Mainly a gay club- guys and girls welcome. Very big and lots of hot dancers, bartenders, music and shows. Best gay club in Vegas. Women are very welcome here too.

Lavo
Inside Palazzo
A Mediterranean restaurant and club upstairs. All entrances lead to a bridge lined with Turkish water basins guiding guests into the 4500 square foot nightclub where vaulted glazed tile arches open to a domed ceiling above the dance floor.
REAL DEAL- The lounge and restaurant downstairs is beautiful and relaxing. The club upstairs is kinda small and gets REALLY crowded. Fun if you have a table or come during the week. Lots of specials for ladies.

LAX Nightclub
Inside Luxor
REAL DEAL- IT BLOWS. Was RA before which was good for 1 yr then  sucked for about 3 yrs. LAX has been sucking for a couple years. Go to Cathouse instead if you must go to a club inside Luxor ... or better yet... go to another casino. Too crowded, lame crown, and music isn't that great.

Liquidity
Inside Luxor across from Cathouse
Liquidity is a sleek bar whose lines and tones echo the cool, soothing blue and smooth shape of flowing water. A projection system creates an ever-changing tapestry of water patterns.
REAL DEAL- Good place to chill if you are staying at the Luxor or before you go to Cathouse. Sometimes after. The waterfall thingies are cool.
Lucky Bar
Inside Red Rock Casino, Summerlin
Everyone's a winner at the Lucky Bar Ultra Lounge. Score a fabulous drink, get your game on and gab with your friends in casual surroundings.
REAL DEAL- Cool red decor and chandelier. Better to go during the week than the weekends. Gets too crowded on the weekends and LOUD.

McMullan's Restaurant and Bar
Tropicana and Decatur Across the street from the Orleans

REAL DEAL-Traditional Irish pub with good food and cool bands some nights. Gets crowded on weekends, come earlier.
McFadden's Restaurant and Saloon
Inside Rio Masquerade Court
It's a traditonal Irish restaurant and saloon which serves up traditional Irish fare along with a full bar. Bottle service is always available upon request starting at $75. Entertainment options include beer pong and live music.
REAL DEAL- Used to be more poular before. Kinda small and loud. Can dance on the bar and win contests.

Minus 5
Inside Mandalay Bay/The Hotel side
The Strip Guests are invited to come in from the Las Vegas heat and don Minus 5-issued parkas and booties over their t-shirts and flip-flops. Then the arctic adventure begins, as patrons enter the ethereal blue and white world of the shimmering Minus 5 ice lounge. An icy wonderland of intricately hand-crafted ice sculptures and architecture.
REAL DEAL- Haven't been but it sounds cool... literally.

Mix
Inside Mandalay Bay near The Hotel
Restaurant by day, nightclub by night features a 24-foot chandelier made from 15,000 hand-blown glass spheres and a breathtaking view of the city.
REAL DEAL- They have a bar that looks like a big strawberry on top. Cool decor. Can go outside. More bar than club but they do have a small dance floor. Its fun and chill. Great city views.

Moon Nightclub
Inside The Palms
An exclusive boutique nightclub, featuring spectacular views of the city and a celestial retractable roof.
REAL DEAL- Moon is fun sometimes. There's an outside part and yes the roof does open up which is very cool. You have to go through Playboy club to get to Moon. Playboy club was a big let down when it opened. More on that below. Moon is fun sometimes. Good views.

Nine Fine Irishmen Pub
Inside NY NY
REAL DEAL- My favorite pub. Great bands, food, music and atmosphere. Fun place to hang out and drink a few pints of Guiness.

Onyx Bar
Inside Red Rock Casino, Summerlin
Chill out with a martini in the and find a dark corner to get to know someone better.
REAL DEAL- Its a tiny bar inside the Red Rock. They have like 5 tables. If you are at the Red Rock and don't want to go to Lucky or another lounge, this is your only other option.

Ovation Green Valley
Inside Green Valley Ranch, GVR
“Never a cover, always a party!” reads Ovation’s slogan – a welcome sentiment in a town where getting into a club can easily cost more than $30. Ovation serves as the hotel’s main concert venue.
REAL DEAL- Steel Panther performs there sometimes and they have other bands. Not really a club. Don't really go much.
Playboy Club
Inside The Palms
Introducing the world's only Playboy Club. High-stakes gaming and nightlife come together to make this an experience unique to Vegas not to mention the world. It offers 9 blackjack tables and 1 roulette table inside the club. Open 7 days a week, the Playboy Club is located on the 52nd floor of the Fantasy Tower. Just below is Nove.
REAL DEAL- Big disappointment. Its just basically a place to gamble. Not really a lounge. Go to Moon instead or Nove for dinner.

Prive
Inside Planet Hollywood
Chic imagery meets cutting-edge decor for an illuminating A-list experience. Perfecting the quintessential Miami vibe, Prive will play host to Vegas and Hollywood's VIPs. Bring your entourage.
REAL DEAL- It's okay. Lots of tables. Dance floor is small. Only fun if you have a table and hook-ups. The line is long and a mess.

Pure
Inside Caeser's Palace
REAL DEAL- The decor is beautiful. All white and "pure" looking. 2 levels and inside outside upstairs. Only good if you have a table...otherwise TOO CROWDED. It used to be good when it opened several years ago. The line is a TOTAL zoo mess even for girls sometimes. People still keep coming for some reason.
I say skip it unless you have a table OUTSIDE.

Quinn's Irish Pub
Green Valley Rancj\h
Quinn's brings an authentic slice of Irish culture to Green Valley Ranch. Enjoy a vast selection of Irish and European beers. Good bands on the weekends.

Rain
Inside the Palms
One of the first big nightclubs in Las Vegas, Rain burst onto the scene in 2001. After being featured in the Las Vegas season of The Real World, Rain is still a power player in the nightlife scene. With billowing flame clouds and the hottest go-go dancers, not to mention Perfecto Saturdays.
REAL DEAL- The outside part is cool but only open in the summer. The line is SUPER long and a zoo. Get there early or have hook-ups. A table would help. No where to sit really if you don't have a table. If you are into House/Trance stuff... Perfecto Saturdays might be your thing. Paul Oakenfold spins there a lot on Saturdays. It's fun sometimes... has its moments.
The Red Rooster
Central Las Vegas
The Red Rooster is the oldest and best known swingers party in Las Vegas. Established as a hose party in 1982 for those interested in “the lifestyle,” The Red Rooster has grown from a small home into a 13,000 square foot Mecca of adult nightlife. The club features many rooms for couples or singles to mingle in and an outdoor.
REAL DEAL- 2nd biggest dump after Green Door. If you want to "swing" go to a party instead. Most of the couples are old and poorly dressed. ICK.

Revolver
Inside Alliante Casino North Vegas
Revolver Saloon and Dance Hall blends country with rock n’ roll. This high-octane dance hall will keep you gunning for more with its sultry environment, mechanical bull riding and a full throttle sound and lighting system. Dress code is hillbilly chic or country casual.
REAL DEAL- If you want a cool country-ish place go to Stoney's instead on S LV BLVD near South Point casino. Its small and way more country than rock. Not my thing. Lots of cowboys.

Rockhouse Bar & Nightclub
Inside Imperial Palace
If you like your clubs a little more Guns ‘n’ Roses than Rihanna, you’re looking for Rockhouse Bar and Nightclub. When the sun goes down, this joint converts from a sports bar to an alluring nightclub.
REAL DEAL- Alluring nightclub? Hardly. Its a dump. They should just tear it down and put in a bar or something. Go to Harrah's Carnival Court instead. Imperial Palace needs to be torn down too. Very old and scummy.
Rok Vegas
Inside NY NY
Riveting rock ‘n' roll mash-ups and rock-inspired imagery. Indulge in Rok's intimate setting, including an exclusive outdoor VIP lounge just steps.
REAL DEAL- The music is sort of a mix of dance and rock. Too small. Only good if you have a table. Been there a few times. Decor is kinda cool. It's okay. Not one of the hottest places. Go to Nice Fine Irishmen instead.
Stoney's Rockin' Country
South strip near South Point
Stoney’s proves it’s more than your average club with a mechanical bull and cheap beer and drinks.
REAL DEAL- Mostly country but some rock thrown in. Lots of sexy cowboys and cowgirls. A hip country bar.

Studio 54
Inside MGM
During the late 1970's Studio 54 in Manhattan was the ultimate destination in hedonistic nightlife, so it only makes sense that the local reincarnation of New York’s famous nightclub is a perfect fit in Vegas. While there may not be cocaine and cash stuffed in the walls, this club certainly knows a thing or two about excess. REAL DEAL- It had its hey day about 4 or 5 yrs ago. They remodeled it a couple yrs ago. Haven't been in yrs. No one really goes there. Used to be cool.

Surrender
Inside Wynn/Encore
Just opened in August. No info yet.

Tabu Ultra Lounge
MGM
The MGM Grand’s intimate nightclub known for its clean lines, casual vibe and stellar soundtrack. With two bars to choose from, patrons here sip on heavy-duty cocktails.
REAL DEAL- Its a cool lounge with funky decor. Small. Get there earlier. It's okay to chill at if you're at MGM.

Tao
Inside Venetian
For those craving a high energy, DJ driven atmosphere, TAO boasts a 40-foot-long outside terrace with stunning views of the Las Vegas Strip, gorgeous go-go dancers, state-of-the-art audio and lighting systems, and two main rooms each featuring varying music formats.
REAL DEAL- The restaurant is FAB and the lounge downstairs is cool and chill. The club on the other hand... get a table. The dance floor is SUPER crowded in the main room. When the other room is open.. much better. They need a bigger dance floor. Its supposed to be a DANCE club but mostly tables, sky boxes, etc. It helps to have hook ups.
Tao Beach
Inside Venetian
TAO Beach, resting atop the famous TAO Asian Bistro and Nightclub, is open evenings for special events, adding a new layer of sophistication to the TAO experience. Reserve a spot for the weekly Sunday Sunset Sessions featuring renowned local, national and international house DJs.
REAL DEAL- only open in the warmer months. Its kinda chill. More of a lounge.

The Heart Bar
Inside Planet Hollywood- center bar
Located on the casino floor, the Heart Bar is a great place to take a break with a martini and people watch. REAL DEAL- Has the biggest tv you've seen. Good place to chill before or after Prive.

The Sand Dollar
Central Las Vegas
The Sand Dollar, in keeping with its historic philosophy for a proper mix of down-to-earth friendliness and blue collar class, maintains its authenticity in a city of excess. Mostly blues bands play seven days a week starting at 10 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on weekends. Happy Hour is 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
REAL DEAL- The only place to see blues bands on a regular basis. Kinda dingy and divey.

Vanity Nightclub
Inside Hard Rock
Vanity’s piece de resistance is the chandelier that rises from the center of the 14,000-square-foot venue. Evocative of a cyclone, 20,000 crystals are lit from within by color-changing lights, enhancing the energy of Vanity.
REAL DEAL- Big disappointment! Body English used to be the club at the Hard Rock. I loved Body English I was sad when it closed. Had so many good times there. Vanity is NO Body English. Way too small. No flow. Dance floor is small. Waste of space. You take this long escalator up to a tiny club. Could have instead built a 2 story club or something. Hard Rock blew it.

VooDoo Lounge
Inside The Rio
51 stories high! You’ll see Vegas from our point of view from our indoor/outdoor, double-decker nightclub, complete with a striking steel staircase that offers possibly the single best view in all of Vegas.
REAL DEAL- It is the best view in Vegas. 2 balconies outside. Big and spacious outside. Inside gets a little crowded. Still a great bar to chill and a good restaurant with yummy drinks. Decor is cool too. Check out the sinks in the bathrooms.

Wasted Space
Hard Rock
Wasted Space represents the ultimate depiction of the decadent rock n roll lifestyle. The first anti-club of its kind, Wasted Space melds the high-end rock n roll culture with fashion, art and design creating a one of a kind atmosphere and nightlife experience.
REAL DEAL- Well first off- it is hardly an anti-club because it turns into a club at about 11 pm or so. They have cool bands there but afterwards its just regular dance music. Better than vanity though and cool decor. Lots of hot rocker people to look at and pick up on.

XS
XS is at Encore Tryst is at Wynn
Not sure but one of them turned into Surrender now.
XS is furnished in warm browns and gold. Tables with plush couches form concentric circles around a small dance floor, and a disco ball-inspired chandelier casts circles of flickering light onto the dark floor. Textures are everywhere – metallic snakeskin on the banquettes, ultra suede on the couches – and large pillars.
REAL DEAL- XS and Tryst both charge girls $20 to get in so I have only been to them a couple of times. All the other clubs are free for women, or at least local women.
